The men's 100m final will take centre stage, where the expected showdown between Jamaican world record holder Asafa Powell and the USA's Tyson Gay could be one of the highlights of the championships. The heptathlon concludes with the 800m, and while Sweden's Carolina Kluft is favourite to win her third straight world title, British fans will be eager to see how Kelly Sotherton and Jessica Ennis fare. The other scheduled events are the women's 100m second round and the men's 400m hurdles semi-finals.
