Robert develops a flexible conscience.
Although chuffed when her letter about fly tipping makes Borsetshire Life's 'Letter of the Month', winning an exotic meal for two, Lynda quickly feels insulted when she realises it was only published because she used a pseudonym. However Robert thinks she's onto a good thing, encouraging her to accept the prize and continue to write in under her false name.
David advises members of the parish council meeting to be vigilant for fly tippers after some of his cows were killed by yew poisoning as a result of it.
Phil shares his concerns with Ruth about Jennifer's 'situation' after overhearing Jazzer and Ed at The Bull last night gossiping about Ruairi and joking about the 'Immaculate Deception'. Jill and Phil discuss their once-in-a-lifetime trip in November and Ruth and David get Phil's blessing to introduce a new breed into the herd.
Brian's upset when frosty Debbie's will only talk business. Adam's not pleased when Brian, distracted by Ruairi, has forgotten to order a part for the combine - especially when it means Adam has to go to Norfolk to get it. He now won't have time to help Brian sort out the lambs in the morning, so Brian's going to have to deal with them himself.
Episode written by Michael Barrington.
