David makes amends for the past.

Concerned David rings Brian who's finding it difficult coming to terms with Siobhan's death but he's keeping it together for Ruairi. David reminds him how lucky he is to have Jennifer who's doing the most amazing thing for Brian and Siobhan. David and Ruth find it awkward when Adam comes to Brookfield; they'll be glad when it's all out in the open.

Jennifer's keeping going, agreeing to help out with the farmers' markets, but she can't face the 'Wimbledon' strawberry promotion with Pat. Alice wonders when Brian's coming home. When Adam says he's going to play down his impending 40th birthday, Alice wonders why everyone's being so miserable at the moment.

Jennifer tells Brian that she thinks they should tell Debbie and Kate before telling Alice. He begs Jennifer to let him get the funeral out of the way first. When Jennifer pushes him he agrees to give it some thought, but he's got to be the one who speaks to Debbie. Later Jennifer tells Adam that she's finding it all extremely difficult; with Brian's so wrapped up with Siobhan's death, Ambridge doesn't exist for him at the moment. Her husband's hundreds of miles away grieving for his mistress - how's she supposed to deal with that?
