The secrets take their toll on Jennifer.

David, Ruth and Elizabeth discuss Siobhan's death and Ruairi's future. When David regrets not allowing Brian to talk to him about Siobhan, Elizabeth says it's not too late - once Ruairi arrives Brian and Jennifer are going to need all the support they can get.

David and Ruth decide to open up Brookfield for school children to visit as part of the 'Year Of Farming And The Countryside'.

Adam is reassuring when Jennifer worries about how Alice will react to hearing about Ruairi. Jennifer's furious with Elizabeth when she approaches her after church to offer her support, feeling that Elizabeth shouldn't have mentioned anything with Alice in the vicinity.

Later Jennifer's anxious that Alice might notice that Brian's in Dublin at the same time as Siobhan's funeral. She decides that Debbie and Kate need to be told before Alice; she might ring them when she hears the news. Adam warns Jennifer that Debbie may not react favourably and urges Jennifer to be prepared. Jennifer knows it will be difficult but Kate and Debbie have to know - it's just a case of when she tells them.
