Peggy gives in to her maternal instincts.

Jennifer and Peggy head off to the Chelsea Flower Show while Lilian looks after Jack.

Nigel joins Lilian and Jack at the Bull where Nigel's talk of Uncle Rupert triggers some war memories for Jack.

When Nigel tells Elizabeth he's going to erect a small pavilion as a memorial to Uncle Rupert, Elizabeth advises that it might be a bit grand for someone so modest.

At the Chelsea Flower Show Peggy and Jennifer discuss Alice who still doesn't know about Brian and Ruairi; she thinks Brian's been on a business trip. Peggy's concerned when Jennifer says she has decided to take Ruairi. But although Peggy can't forgive Brian, she respects Jennifer's decision, saying she'll do everything she can to help. But for the rest of the day they're going to forget their troubles and enjoy themselves. Later Peggy ticks Jennifer off when she drifts back into talking about Brian and Ruairi.

Lilian's relieved when Peggy gets back - she doesn't know how Peggy copes with Jack day after day. Peggy thanks her for her help and says she and Jennifer have had a wonderful day.
