Obsessed by an historical murder mystery, Inspector Alan Grant and his research worker Brent have discovered that the bill attainting Richard before Parliament after his death made no mention of the slaying of the princes.

Brent has gone off to uncover what Stillington, the Bishop of Bath, said in June 1483 that changed the course of history and clinched the crown for Richard...
