Lew finds the book he gave to the hospital patient and discovers that his imposter has rewritten his story in his notebook.

There are scenes and language that the real Lew doesn't even recognise. His son David also gets a mention.

Ex-offender Ezekiel comes to stay and Lew's new girlfriend - the artistic florist Deborah - has a surprise in store.
