Stars two much-loved actresses who passed away in October 2025, Patricia Routledge and Prunella Scales.

In their now electronic correspondence, Vera and Irene - related by the marriage of their offspring - reveal their exploits and adventures to each other, in an occasionally fractious manner. They strive to outdo each other, be it with their recipes, holidays or who has the best grandchildren. However, when the going gets tough, they are always there for one another.
