2. Concerning Elliot France

The smooth detective's car is forced into a Bavarian ditch and a helpful driver stops. Stars Peter Coke. From 1959.

Paul and Steve head to meet with novelist Elliot France, on whom missing Betty Conrad appears to have had a crush.

But the glamorous duo narrowly avoid a serious accident when their car is forced into a ditch by a sports car which fails to stop.

Then another car arrives on the scene and the driver offers his assistance.

Francis Durbridge's crime thriller stars Peter Coke and Marjorie Westbury as BBC radio's smoothest investigator and his glamorous wife.
