Sir Alec Guinness reads his own bestselling "diary of a retiring actor".

The diaries cover a period of 18 months combining acerbic wit with numerous anecdotes sprinkled with finely observed observations.

He begins on 1st January 1995: and is not too impressed by legendary TV cook and bon viveur, Fanny Cradock.
