Jim prepares for a bumper tomato crop, Lesley is planting out a range of purple vegetables and George Anderson investigates a 'demo allotment'.

The Beechgrove Garden is particularly packed full of goodness this week with a veggie special. Jim will be preparing for a bumper tomato crop while Lesley is planting out her eclectic range of purple veg.

Carole is with Sue and Jim Watson at Muir of Fowlis helping them set up a veg patch from scratch. Sue reckons that instead of problem corner, in her case, we should call this "numpty corner" and the result is a real back to basics veggie patch.

Ever thought of taking on an allotment? The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society reckon that many people would like to but don't know how to go about it, so they have set up a "demo allotment" at Bridgend Allotments in Edinburgh to show how its all done. George Anderson investigates.
