Objects under scrutiny include a decorative cast-iron finial from Tower Bridge which was dislodged after a bombing raid in World War II, a collection of 13th century church carvings removed in the Victorian era, and one of the finest and most valuable pieces of aesthetic art to have been seen at a roadshow.
