Community General is grief-stricken when Dr Sloan's car explodes, apparently killing him. The many suspects include an escaped ex-convict against whom Sloan testified, an intern whose career was jeopardised by the doctor's decision, and a businessman whom Sloan opposed for unscrupulous practice.
