Two families, the Cookes from rural Cornwall and the Erickson-Hulls from east London via St Lucia, volunteer to exchange lives for a week, swapping homes, pets, jobs, schools, diet and even house rules. Today, Sheila packs her briefcase and heads off to central London to try life as a city worker while city kids Mindy and Jesse find it tough, knuckling under to the discipline of military cadets.
