Four-part docudrama series revealing the untold true story behind the Cold War race to put man into space. It begins in the collapse of war-torn Germany, as Soviet and American intelligence become locked in a deadly race to capture Wernher von Braun, the Nazi scientist behind Hitler's terror weapon, the V-2 rocket. Von Braun's dream is to travel beyond the moon but he has a rival, released from Stalin's Gulag in order to win at any cost.
