Sci-fi drama series set on board the USS Enterprise. The crew are forced to negotiate with a space trader for a rare and unstable substance needed to neutralise contaminated water. While carrying the dangerous cargo, Data's shuttle explodes. Geordi, unable to accept the death of his friend, suspects foul play and investigates.
