Eddie does his bit for international relations.

It's Palm Sunday, and Shula has brought the donkey to church once again. David and Ruth have more or less sorted out their child care for half term. Shula comes by to encourage them to enter her latest fundraising venture - suggesting they might cycle the course. It's to be on May Day bank holiday, and it's in aid of the cricket club.

Nervous Eddie turns up at the village green to do his Italian town cry. He's in full flow, with Lilian in support, when he realises that everyone is laughing at him - notably Bert Fry. Yes, it's an April Fool - Bert, Freda and Jolene cooked up the letter on the Bull computer. Eddie and Lilian take it in good part - but Eddie is even more determined to beat Bert in the competition now.
