A Long Walk with... Jim Kerr around his beloved Glasgow

Janice Long returns with a new series of Long Walks with some of the most interesting stars in music, as they walk through important places in their lives.

In the first episode, she visits Glasgow - the largest city in Scotland, with a long history of musical, industrial and cultural innovation - to spend some time with her old friend and global rock star, Jim Kerr of Simple Minds.

Here are some highlights and exclusive clips, plus some photos of the key places they walked past - the BBC on the River Clyde, Barrowland's Ballroom and George Square.

You can listen to Long Walks live each week on Radio 2, at 9pm on Thursdays, and catch-up for the following 30 days on the Radio 2 website or iPlayer Radio app.
