Welcome to Shakespeare Street

To mark the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire is putting Coventry residents centre-stage as they celebrate the Midlands' most famous son.

They are putting together a new production of Romeo and Juliet, which will be performed in Broadgate, Coventry on 22 April.

Budding actors

The budding actors are learning new skills from The Belgrade Theatre and Highly Sprung Performance Company and have also visited the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Hacker the Dog from CBBC has also visited Coventry to be part of the project.

On this page, we have included highlights of the footage from the journey so far, but you can see all of our video clips, browse galleries, and hear what has been happening, by visiting our main Shakespeare Street page.

Keep checking back as we feature more details between now and the performance date.
