Line of Duty is sometimes noted for its interview scenes and these typically involve AC-12 challenging the Antagonist (our name for the allegedly corrupt police officer who guest-stars in each series). But sometimes we portray interviews where the Antagonist is at work.
In Series 1, Tony Gates (played by Lennie James) pulled a drug dealer's story apart, as a way of familiarising the audience with Gates' cleverness and charisma.
In this scene in Series 4, we get to see how Roz Huntley can be clever, charismatic and apparently sensitive, before coldly pulling the rug from under Hana.
It's a declaration of the character's determination to continue on the road she's chosen, no matter what misgivings might intrude on the way. She must suppress her conscience."
