The Prize Draw

1.1. The title of the prize draw is SKI Text to Win prize draw.

How to Enter

2.1. Opening and Closing Dates: the prize draw will be open at 12:00pm on Friday 14th November 2025 and close at 10:00am on Thursday 27th November 2025 (“Closing Date”).

Entry Instructions:

There are two methods of entry available depending on where you live:

Text – for those within the UK only (excludes the Channel Islands and Isle of Man);
Automated phone service – for those within the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

Text Entries

3.1. Entry to the prize draw by text is by texting the keyword SKI (“Keyword”) to short code 81155 by the Closing Date. Text messages cost your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates – please check with your provider). Entrants will then receive a free bounce-back message from 62345 informing them that a voluntary donation of £10 to BBC Children in Need will be taken 60 minutes after the entry text was received, unless they reply to 62345 with the word CANCEL before the 60 minutes has passed.

3.2. For the avoidance of doubt, opting out of the voluntary donation will not affect your entry into the prize draw.

3.3. Please ensure you spell the Keyword correctly and send your text message to the correct short code within the time period that the prize draw is specified as being open. If your short code is invalid, or your text message is received outside the specified time period, you may NOT receive a bounce-back message but may still be charged your standard network message charge. You will not be donating to BBC Children in Need nor will you have entered the prize draw.

3.4. You may enter the prize draw via text a maximum of four times per day. You will receive a free bounce-back message regarding the donation each time, and if you wish to opt out of the donation you need to respond to each such message received from 62345 with the word CANCEL. If you try to enter more times than this from the same mobile telephone number in one day, you will still be charged your standard network rate but will not be entered into the prize draw and will not be donating to BBC Children in Need.

3.5. If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim an additional 25p in Gift Aid from the Government for every £1 you donate and it doesn’t cost you a penny! To help us claim this, we may send you a follow up text to ask if you want to Gift Aid your donation. For us to claim Gift Aid, you must pay UK income or capital gains tax in the current tax year (this does not include VAT or council tax) at least equal to the amount reclaimed on all your charitable donations and understand that, if you pay less income tax or capital gains tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your charity donations, it is your responsibility to pay any difference. Find out more about Gift Aid. If you click the link in the text message you will be taken to a website to complete the Gift Aid declaration and have the option to sign up to keep up to date about children we support and fundraising news. Please read the details carefully before submission. You will not automatically be added to any marketing databases if we send you this follow-up text.

3.6. If by mistake you text us with the word “GIFT” or “GIFT AID” rather than following the above process, we may send you a message to notify you of the error and redirecting you to the above process again. You will not automatically be added to any marketing databases if we send you this text.

3.7. If you are entering via text message, the total charge (which may include both the standard network charge and any applicable donation amount) will typically appear as two separate charges on your mobile bill for most network providers.

3.8. For the purposes of providing Premium Rate Services, BBC Children in Need is the Merchant.

Automated Phone Entries

3.7. To enter by phone, you will need a touchtone phone to confirm your entry when prompted and calls must be made from a non-withheld number.

3.8 To enter the prize draw using our automated phone service, call 0330 123 5655 by the Closing Date. Calls will cost your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates – please check with your provider). You must enter using a touchtone phone to confirm your entry and if you are calling from a withheld number, you will be asked to call back from a non-withheld number. You must follow the instructions given on the call including pressing a button on your keypad to confirm your entry.

3.9 There is no way to make a donation using our automated phone service but entrants can instead go to our website donate.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk to make a donation. This is voluntary and will not affect your entry into the prize draw.

3.10 You may enter the prize draw a maximum of four times per day. If you try to enter more times than this from the same telephone number in one day, you will still be charged your standard network rate, but will not be entered into the prize draw.

Eligibility

4.1. You must be 18 or over to enter the prize draw. All entrants entering must obtain permission from the bill payer before entering.

4.2. The prize draw is open to all residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man (but please note the text service to enter the prize draw does not include Channel Islands or Isle of Man mobile networks and these residents must enter via the automated phone service). The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify additional entries above the specified limits made by the same person using different telephones. Please note, that in these circumstances you will still be charged your standard network rate, and, for those entering by text may be donating to BBC Children in Need but will not be entered into the prize draw.

4.6. The Promoter will not accept prize draw entries that are (a) automatically generated by computer; (b) completed by third parties or in bulk; or (c) incomplete.

4.7. BBC Children in Need, the BBC, BBC Studios Productions Ltd and each of their sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any text not being properly received.
