The reigning princess of pop, Britney Spears, has admitted she'd love to do the half-time show at next year's Super Bowl and we are over the actual moon.

But she wants backup. She told Scott Mills: "Definitely not on my own! I'd have to have another support there. Another artist of course!

"I don't think you'd ever do the Super Bowl alone. That would be kinda scary."

So of course our fangirl levels went into overdrive and we imagined the most amazing Britney-esque people it could be with...

Oh we've only waited for 14 YEARS for Britney and Justin Timberlake to be reunited.

Just imagine the scenes. They sing Cry Me A River, one of them sheds a tear, they hug, it's magical.

First they were mates, then there was beef, and now we're pretty sure they are chums again. So apart from the possible drams/loving friendship, it would be the moment our Mickey Mouse Club dream come true if Christina Aguilera joined Britney for a mash-up or Baby One More Time and Genie In A Bottle.

Since Britney told Scott Mills that there was nada truth to the rumours that she was releasing a single with Justin Bieber, the only thing that can mend our soul is that the two of them duet on stage in front of millions of people.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Back in the 2000s these two were the Selena and Taylor of the celeb scene. Though with less clothes and less Justin Bieber drama. Paris even followed in Britney's footsteps and released some amazingly bad (but really actually amazing) pop songs like Stars Are Blind.
