BBC Radio 2 relives the World Cup ‘66 final - Minute by Minute

** Tickets and more information at http://www.wc66.org/ **

This live event will unfold in real time at The SSE Arena, Wembley in front of an audience of 10,000, and will broadcast live on BBC Radio 2, BBC Red Button and in cinemas across the UK.

World Cup ‘66 final Minute by Minute will relive the unforgettable game bringing music, arts, culture, history and sport together to create a live music documentary. Presented by Jeremy Vine & Louise Minchin the programme will celebrate the remarkable achievements of those involved with the 1966 final, offering an insight into the thoughts and feelings of those affected by the game, both in Wembley Stadium, as well as ordinary people up and down the country.

The story will be underscored by a newly composed live soundtrack, as well as featuring hits from 1966, a year regarded by many as one of the most important in the development of UK popular music. This will mean songs by The Beatles, The Kinks and The Rolling Stones, performed as newly arranged interpretations by today’s best musicians, or by the legends who delivered them first time around.
