Thank you for submitting an application to be considered for Scotland’s Home of the Year.

The BBC will collect and process the personal information that you have provided to us about yourself. This personal information is name, address, email, phone and why you love your home.

The personal information that you provide will be processed securely for the purposes of considering entries for Scotland’s Home of the Year.

The BBC is the ‘data controller’ of this information. This means that the BBC decides what your personal information is used for, and the ways in which it is processed.

We will share information you provide with IWC Media, the producers of Scotland’s Home of the Year.

We rely on our legitimate interests of running radio competitions as our lawful basis for processing your personal data – providing interesting and engaging television to those that participate and to the wider audience. Where we process your personal information for our legitimate interests, we will carefully consider any impact on you and will not use your personal information where such impact overrides our interests.

The BBC will retain your data for 4 years. At this time it will be destroyed in line with the BBC's Records Management Policy.
