CLEAN CUT KID

Clean Cut Kid - Vitamin C
Clean Cut Kid perform Vitamin C at Reading 2015
Supported by:BBC Introducing in Merseyside
You should know: Mike Halls, Evelyn Halls, Saul Godman and Ross Higginson have produced one of the most unique and exciting tracks of the summer. Their single ‘Vitamin C’ has a charming ability to draw you in one direction and then change up, moving from springy, jagged guitars to Arcade Fire esque male and female vocals, all over the top of an uncompromisingly fuzzy bass. Annie Mac and Huw Stephens have been playing the band on Radio 1 and their invigorating headline performance on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds showed that their ready to conquer the Big Apple.
GEORGIA

GEORGIA - Nothing Solutions
GEORGIA performs Nothing Solutions at Reading 2015
Supported by:BBC Introducing in London
You should know: All written, performed and produced by herself and recorded in her home studio, GEoRGiA aka Georgia Barnes released her eponymous debut LP in August. It’s a highly sophisticated collection of forceful yet pristine electronic tracks, full of beats and sounds that were painstakingly crafted by her and her alone. The album has received critical acclaim across the music press, The Guardian described it as “a collision of pop, grime and electronica that shows off MIA-esque magpie tendencies”. Huw Stephens is a massive fan, giving GEoRGiA multiple plays on his Radio 1 show, including live tracks from her triumphant headline set on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds.
THE BIG MOON

The Big Moon - Sucker
The Big Moon perform Sucker at Reading 2015
Supported by:BBC Introducing in London
You should know: Within just two days of debut track ‘Eureka Moment’ introducing the world to The Big Moon and the band were inundated with messages, sent by potential managers and hair stylists (and everyone in between). The reaction was so unexpectedly huge that singer Juliette Jackson had to turn her emails off. Since then, the release of killer track ‘Sucker’ and latest cut ‘The Road’ have continued to exemplify why the London four-piece are a serious prospect to find their feet as one of the UK’s most exciting guitar bands in 2016.
THE JACQUES

The Jacques - Ow Ow
The Jacques perform Ow Ow at Reading 2015
Supported by:BBC Introducing in the West
You should know: A Bristolian band of brothers (two sets), formed in January 2014 and now ready to cross the Atlantic and make their mark at CMJ.
Fin, Elliott, Edwards and Oliver caught the attention of The Libertines drummer Gary Powell, after The Jacques supported the indie heroes in Hyde Park last year. Since then they’ve turned a lot of heads, including the team at BBC Introducing in the West who invited the band in to record a session. The US will be ready for their stylishly lackadaisical sound, as it blends the thick, note bending Pixies lead guitar sound with some chaotic Breeders style and the punk energy of The Ramones. In fact the band cites New York natives The Strokes as one of their leading inspirations when starting out. Their Reading set on the BBC Introducing stage was a prime example of why they’re ready to follow in The Libertines’ footsteps and achieve indie greatness.
