RED NOSE DAY 2026

Over £30 Million for Red Nose Day 2026 so far, Helping More Than 1.3 Million People Thrive
Across the UK, schools, workplaces, and neighbourhoods came together in spectacular style for Red Nose Day 2026- raising an incredible £30,004,040 (and counting!) to help more than 1.3 million people access essentials like food, safe shelter, and protection.
A blockbuster night of comedy, music, and unforgettable entertainment lit up screens nationwide, opened by an uplifting message from Comic Relief co-founder Sir Lenny Henry, celebrating the nation’s spirit, humour, and generosity. With show‑stopping performances, surprise celebrity appearances, and heart‑warming moments of unity, Red Nose Day once again proved the power of laughter to bring people together and change lives. And with incredible prizes still up for grabs and donations continuing to roll in, the impact of this year’s generosity is only just beginning.

£4 Million raised so far Radio 1’s Longest Ride with Greg James for Red Nose Day
BBC Radio 1’s Greg James has completed his epic 1,000km challenge, arriving at Murrayfield Stadium to a hero’s welcome after eight gruelling days in the saddle.
Radio 1’s Longest Ride for Red Nose Day has already raised an astonishing £4,041,000 for Comic Relief, with donations including £100,000 from Coldplay and major match funding from The Hunter Foundation.
Greg began his journey in Weymouth on Friday 13 March and cycled north on a tandem bike for up to eight hours a day, joined along the way by a host of familiar faces including His Royal Highness Prince William, Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas, comedians Joe Lycett and Max Fosh, and fellow Radio 1 presenters Jamie Laing, Arielle Free, and Alice Levine.
The fundraising total will continue to grow, with the final amount announced during Comic Relief: Funny for Money, live on BBC iPlayer, and - for the first time - simultaneously on the BBC’s official YouTube channel on Friday 20 March.
Greg will also reveal the final challenge total on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show from 7am on Monday 23 March.
Money raised for Red Nose Day helps provide essentials like food, safe shelter, and protection for people facing the toughest moments of their lives. Donations to support Greg’s remarkable effort can still be made at donate here.
