Museum of the Year 2014 Finalist: Tate Britain

Tate Britain
A look at Tate Britain, one of the six finalists in this year's Museum of the Year.
Tate Britain was one of the six contenders for the title of Museum of the Year 2014.
The listed building was transformed in 2013, with the addition of features including a spiral foyer staircase and a rotunda which now houses a members' area.
Tate Britain's collection of works was also reorganised to create a contiguous walk-through of British art and now places familiar items alongside less well known pieces.
The art gallery, situated on Millbank close to the north bank of the Thames, is visited by 1.5 million people each year.
