Ditchling Museum
Ditchling Museum in East Sussex is one of the six contenders for Museum of the Year
Ditchling Museum of Art and Craft in East Sussex was one of the six contenders for the title of Museum of the Year 2014.
The museum reopened in 2013 after a major redevelopment and now offers the rare experience of seeing objects in the village in which they were created.
It holds a nationally important collection of artists and craftspeople who lived and worked in Ditchling in the 20th century.
With a small team of staff and volunteers the museum has transformed itself into a fitting home to celebrate Ditchling’s important place in the history of applied art and design.
