6 Music listeners had their artwork displayed at Margate's Turner Contemporary

This week, Mary Anne Hobbs broadcast live from Margate's Turner Contemporary Gallery, where the 2019 Turner Prize winner(s) were announced. In a huge celebration of art, and the way it interlinks with music, she was joined by former Turner Prize winner Mark Leckey, FKA twigs' tour creative director, plus Margate resident Gemma Cairney, to wax lyrical on the magic of the coastal town.

During the show, 6 Music's own listeners got involved by having some of their incredible creations projected on the walls of the Contemporary Gallery.

Anyone submitting art via the #6MusicArt hashtag had a chance of getting their designs lit up alongside some of the country's finest artists. From vivid portraits of Grace Jones to stunning abstract flourishes, 6's listeners are a talented bunch!
