But... how did we get here?

This is some of the first ever footage of a Florence gig, at a BBC Introducing show for the South By Southwest music festival. What's happening here is that Florence has dived into a kiddie pool off-camera, emerged soaking wet and is pushed away from the electricals for fear of cutting her career quite short. For reasons she can't entirely explain herself, she then decides to crawl under the stage.

(What is it with our flame-haired singers with gigantic voices that makes them start all punky like this? Paloma Faith's early days at Jaguar Shoes were like this too, all snarl and underpowered guitar amps.)

At Maida Vale, Florence did Shake It Out, What The Water, Rabbit Heart and No Light No Light. And for kicks she covered Take Care by Drake!

All we can show you are highlights of Hackney Weekend 2012, sadly, but, I mean, listen to that voice.
