BBC Fresh Profile: Deborah Osunsami
Deborah Osunsami's short film follows a young photographer at work.
Deborah explains how she is trying to inspire young people to make the most of their time at university.

Why did you pick this subject for Fresh?
This subject was picked for fresh because it represents a young university student in the UK who is trying to make it as a photographer and is suitable for the target audience of the BBC Fresh brief.
What motivated you to make this film?
So many young people especially in the UK go to university and think it is all about fun, and parties, but a number of them end up giving up on their studies or start to lose motivation. I wanted to give young people an example of what it is like to be young and have a passion for a subject, hoping subconsciously it will positively motivate other young people to not give up on their dreams and to continue their passion.
What camera did you use to shoot your film?
JVC
Who/what inspires you?
I am inspired by authors and inspirational speakers such as Louise Hay and Esther Hicks.
I am also inspired by ordinary people who have astonishing stories.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to establish myself as a director of documentary.
What is the most important thing you have learned so far?
Character is everything, if you do not have a strong, engaging character you do not have a film.
