Lincolnshire's Biggest Choir

Lincolnshire’s Biggest Choir – Home

More than a hundred county voices in exclusive collaboration with the BBC Philharmonic.

A chart-topping pop band, orchestral stars and a huge choir of community singers have joined forces to help BBC Radio Lincolnshire mark Lincolnshire Day and the station’s 40th birthday.

The unique project saw the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra combine with Scouting for Girls and more than 100 voices from across the county to make up Lincolnshire’s Biggest Choir.

Everyone recorded their part in isolation, but they’ve been mixed together and combined with iconic Lincolnshire scenes to produce an emotional celebration of the county.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire assembled its Biggest Choir with help from the charity Up For Arts to record a special version of the Scouting for Girls song ‘Home’.

The tune was chosen for its upbeat heartfelt lyrics which emphasised a love of home and sense of belonging. It was a song that had never before been attempted by a choir.
