Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Entrants must be able to attend the given event. Proof of age, identity, parental permission and eligibility may be requested.

2. The competition will run from Saturday 1st July, 2017 to Friday 7th July, 2017 between 0800 & 2000 every time the Radio 1's Summer Festival Competition Klaxon is fired. This will happen upon agreement that the on-air presenter has said that day’s keyword live on Radio 1.

3. To enter the competition listeners must call the telephone number 03700 100 100 when they hear the Radio 1's Summer Festival Competition Klaxon. Standard geographic charges from landlines and mobiles apply and calls may be included in your telecom provider’s call package. No other method of entry will be accepted.

4. Listeners should only call to enter during the times announced on the show. Calls received outside the announced times will not be registered but will still be charged. Entrants must ensure they obtain the bill-payer’s consent before entering.

6. Should they be selected to take part in the on-air competition, entrants must ensure that they are available on the telephone number provided to take the call from the production team. If an entrant is not available we will attempt to call them back on the number provided a maximum of three times before moving to the back-up caller.

7. Two final callers will then go head-to-head on-air (live) to play a game of sudden death after a 5 minute window. In turn, each caller will be given the name of a performer or individual band member that may or may not be performing at that day's festival. The caller will then need to use their expertise to determine whether or not that performer or band member is playing at that day's festival by answering, 'True' or 'False', this must be performed within a 5 second window of opportunity. If the caller answers correctly, the second caller will be asked a similar question using the same mechanic. The game will continue until one caller answers correctly and the other caller answers incorrectly within the same round. If there is any other outcome, for example - correct/correct or incorrect/incorrect - the game will continue to another round until a winner is found. If the selected caller loses signal we will attempt to call them back on the number provided a maximum of three times before moving to the back-up caller.

8. The BBC’s decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

9. Winners are excluded from re-entering the competition later on.
