Rust in Pieces: a teary-eyed goodbye to some of the very best and worst Robot Warriors from series 8, 9 & 10
The sad news is that there will be no more Robot Wars for now.
The House Robots – Dead Metal, Matilda, Shunt and Sir Killalot – are all faced with an uncertain future.
Perhaps they’ll be repurposed as domestic servants for the ultra-rich or, like the Terminator, will they be back to reign terror on us as the mechanised masters of humanity’s future?
Who knows? We can only, er, hope.
Until that time, let’s take a look back at some of the best and worst battles, designs and crazy ideas to enter the arena.
