Breakfast Carol Competition 2014
Scroll down to see the overall winner and download the 6 shortlisted carols.

Radio 3 Breakfast celebrated Christmas 2014 in a memorable way with their first ever Carol Competition. Earlier in the year Radio 3 Breakfast listeners were invited to write a choral setting of the poem “Can it be True?” (click here to read the poem) by the well-known author Susan Hill. After a fantastic response, the judging panel, which included Master of the Queen’s Music Judith Weir and choral conductor David Hill, chose a shortlist of six.
Breakfast listeners then voted for the overall winner from the shortlisted six carols.
As a special festive treat you can download all six works as a special Breakfast Carol Competition podcast.

The overall winner, as voted for by Radio 3 listeners, is Jacqueline Burley.
You can still download all of the shortlisted six carols, including the winning song, from our Breakfast Carol Competition podcast page.
