Friday Terms & Conditions

Ticket purchase Terms & Conditions

Tickets will cost £10 (+£2.50 booking fee) per person. Refunds will only be considered if the event is cancelled or postponed.

This event is strictly for those aged 18 and over.

ID checks may be carried out at the entrance, with the following forms of ID accepted: a valid passport; valid Photocard Driving Licence; or a valid photographic identity card bearing the National Proof Of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) hologram.

Tickets will be sold in pairs (or individually) and you can only purchase one pair at a time.

Please note, tickets are strictly limited to a maximum of 4 tickets per person, all subject to availability. Checks on credit and debit card use will be made and any bookings over this limit will be cancelled, without return of fees.

Tickets will be divided into two ‘pots’:

Pot 1 – 85% of the tickets will initially be reserved for those living in the Middlesbrough Council area, and remaining areas of the Tees Valley Combined Authority: Darlington, Hartlepool, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Councils. These tickets will be reserved for seven days until 5pm on Friday May 3rd, after which any unsold will be offered for general sale.

Pot 2 – The remaining 15% of tickets will be available for the rest of the UK.

In order to check you live in applicable areas, if you request tickets from Pot 1 you will be asked to enter the postcode of your home address as part of the booking process. If this does not match the billing address of your credit or debit card we will request proof of residence in the local area before sending tickets. If you are unable to provide this, tickets will be cancelled, without return of fees.

Anyone breaking the rules and regulations governing the ticket purchase process may have any purchased tickets cancelled without notice.

The booking process for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend will be handled by Ticketmaster and you will be transferred to their site to complete your purchase. If you do not already have an account with Ticketmaster you will need to create one, but additional time will be allowed for you to do this.

Tickets will be posted out. Should they fail to arrive by 20th May you will be able to contact Ticketmaster and request replacements for collection on the day. However, in order to stop people using false addresses, we will ask you to provide proof of residence at the address given when applying and cancel tickets if you are unable to provide this. Replacement tickets are not guaranteed and will be issued at the discretion of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
