Find out more and apply for free tickets

Please take a few moments to read the all the information carefully and bear in mind that by accepting a ticket you're agreeing to our terms and conditions.

We want coming to a BBC event to be an exciting and unique experience, so here are a few things to help you enjoy it.

  1. Admission on the day of the event is on a first-come-first-served basis. As not everyone who registers for tickets uses them, to make sure we have a full house we send out more tickets than there are places. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. We can't guarantee that you'll get in, and also please be aware that on some BBC shows audience members start queuing well before the on site time.

  2. You'll need to print off your eTicket to bring with you to the show – you will receive this within 2 days of the ticket registration closing. These will be validated when you arrive by one of our stewarding team.

  3. By entering the event audience members agree to follow the reasonable directions of the BBC particularly in respect of health and safety matters.

  4. Attendance is restricted to those who are 16 years of age and above. Anyone younger than this will not be admitted. Anyone aged 16 or 17 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+. Age restrictions should be checked when applying for tickets for each event.

  5. At some venues you may need to go through security checks. Please do not bring sharp implements such as penknives, forks etc. Bring as little as possible with you so we don't keep you waiting and remember that you won't be allowed to take photos or use recording equipment in the studio.

  6. The following articles are not permitted within the venues – flags, chairs, knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, glass vessels, poles and articles that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety.

  7. If you need help with access please let us know as soon as possible. At all venues we welcome assistance dogs and at most venues we offer wheelchair access and adapted toilets. Please see the FAQ page of our website at www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours for more information. Please be aware smoke effects, strobe lighting, lasers and loud noises may be used.

  8. As part of our audience you'll make a major contribution to the show. To make sure everyone has a great time we'll ask people to leave if they interrupt or disrupt the show or behave in a way likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance or annoyance. The BBC reserves the right to refuse admission.

  9. Now and again we have to cancel or change bookings. If this happens, we'll do all we can to give you plenty of notice, but we can't be held responsible for any expenses you have in getting to us.

  10. The BBC shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense howsoever caused, except in the case of death or personal injury where this is directly caused by a negligent act or omission of the BBC.

  11. The BBC reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any amendments to these terms and conditions will be displayed at the entrance to the event.

  12. The BBC, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem which may result in any registration being lost, not properly registered or e-tickets not arriving.

  13. The BBC will only use personal details for the purposes of running the events, administering the ticket giveaway and for evaluation purposes, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without permission. You can read more about the BBC Privacy Policy here.

  14. The promoter of the ticket giveaway is the British Broadcasting Corporation.

  15. The BBC reserves the right to:
    (i) cancel the ticket-giveaway, at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control;

    (ii) disqualify any applicant who breaches the rules or has acted fraudulently in any way;

    (iii) cancel, amend or change the event (including the line-up and activities) at any stage;

    (iv) refuse entry to the event, at any stage, should any ticket holder or their guest exhibit inappropriate or dangerous behaviour (including, but not limited to, being under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or chemical substances or causing a nuisance)

  16. Should the event be cancelled or line-up changed, the BBC will not be liable for the payment of any compensation.

  17. Unauthorised professional photography or use of professional recording equipment is prohibited. Zoom lens, audio visual or cinematographic devices will not be permitted into the venue.

  18. These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
