Zoe Callan has produced and directed a number of documentary films for the BBC and Channel 4.
From a job as a runner making endless cups of tea, Zoe Callan is now an accomplished TV director and producer.

How did you get started in film production?
I did a degree in TV and Radio Production then after graduating sent my CV everywhere until I got a job as a runner at an independent TV company. Then I just made a lot of tea and worked my way up!

Meeting people. Exploring other people's lives. Shaping stories. Observing rather than contriving. Being close to the creativity.
