BBC Radio 1Xtra are heading back into the club! Come join us at EartH for 1Xtra Takeover!

Join us for the first-ever 1Xtra Takeover club night at EartH Hall in Hackney on Saturday 25th April 7pm-1am.

You can expect a night of exclusive live DJ sets from 1Xtra DJs, and special guest appearances, bringing nothing but the best sounds to the stage, from old school bangers to big party anthems, spinning RnB, Hip Hop, Grime, UK Garage, Dancehall and Afrobeats.

Highlights from the event will be broadcasted on BBC 1XTRA and BBC Sounds on 4th May.

Tickets will cost £18.54 including all fees (Tickets cost £15.00 + £1.50 booking fee + £1.50 venue levy + 0.54 processing fee).

There is a maximum purchase of 6 tickets per customer.

The booking fee is retained by the ticketing provider, Dice, and contributes to operational costs including card payment processing costs, customer service and account hand ling costs.

Event Restrictions:

You need to be aged 18 or over to attend this event. You will be asked for photographic ID at the entrance. Acceptable forms of ID are a valid passport, national identity card, valid driving license, student card, UK citizen card.

No external food or drinks are allowed inside the venue, including chewing gum.

Please note there is no readmission to the venue once the event has started.

Cloakroom:

There is a cloakroom available at the venue for a small fee. Only one small bag (max A4 size) per person is permitted into the venue. Any large bags or suitcases cannot be stored or taken into the venue.

BBC Radio 1Xtra and Earth Hall are committed to making 1Xtra Takeover an accessible event.

Please take note of the pre-existing facilities at Earth Hall for this event; There is step free access from entry to the main floor and accessible toilets.

Sustainability

The BBC is committed is to being net zero in terms of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

Everyone working on this event including BBC staff, presenters, event contributors and contractors are requested to follow the Sustainability policy, with a view to reducing our environmental impact and contributing to the overall success of the event. This includes implementing initiatives including a low carbon travel policy, where all staff travel to the event by public and shared transport where possible to reduce the event’s overall carbon emissions.

In keeping with the aims of the event, we would like all ticket holders to consider taking the following steps to contribute to a more sustainable event:

  • Please consider using low-carbon transport options, such as trains, buses and other shared transport to the event.
  • There will be no public parking at the site, so please avoid driving.
  • We aim to recycle as much as possible from the event, and you have a part to play in this. Please look out for opportunities to recycle at the venue.

Ticketing Terms & Conditions

All tickets are issued by DICE (the ticket service provider) on behalf of the BBC (the event organiser). All ticket holders are subject to the terms and conditions indicated here and displayed on the ticket service provider’s website (DICE) and event venue premises (Earth Hall “EH”) any of which may be changed at event organiser’s discretion. The use of a ticket signifies agreement to the following conditions:

1. The minimum age of attendance at the event is 18 years of age.

2. The maximum number of tickets that may be purchased per person for this event is 6. Where a restriction applies to the number of tickets that may be purchased (whether per person, per credit card or per household) and tickets are purchased in excess of this number, the BBC and/or DICE may cancel the excess tickets.

3. The BBC and/or DICE reserve the right to cancel ticket bookings which it/they (as applicable) reasonably suspect to have been made fraudulently.

4. Tickets may not be sold, traded, or offered for sale; and may not be used as a prize or for any other promotional or trade purpose by any organisation except the BBC.

5. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase. The BBC and/or DICE cannot be held liable for any tickets which are lost or stolen.

6. All those attending the event will need a valid ticket to gain entry. You may be required to provide photographic ID for example: passport, driving licence, national identity card, UK citizen card.

7. Please note that this is a standing-only event; no seating will be available. Seats and wheelchair spaces are only available for those less able to stand and disabled customers and must be arranged with EH prior to the event in accordance with their terms and conditions for disabled access. 8. Please be aware for your safety and comfort the following are strictly prohibited from being brought into EH and persons and personal property will be subject to inspection / searches for: any food and drink purchased outside of EH, offensive weapons and drugs (including legal highs) and other controlled substances and anything else that may interfere with the event or the enjoyment of the event by others, or compromises public safety.

9. Large bags (A4 size or larger) are not permitted inside the venue. A cloakroom service will be available at a cost for coats and small bags.

10. Persons attending the event are responsible for their own valuables. The BBC and/or EH accept no responsibility for any personal property lost, damaged or stolen.

12. There will be no re-admission permitted at the event.

13. Unauthorised professional photography, or use of professional recording equipment is prohibited and zoom lenses, audio visual or cinematographic devices will not be permitted on site.

14. Smokingand vaping are not permitted anywhere inside EH.

15. Alcohol will be on sale at this show. If you look under 25 ID may be requested for proof of age.

16. The BBC and/or EH, at their discretion, reserve the right to refuse admission or to eject a ticketholder for behaviour likely to cause damage, injury, harm, nuisance; or failure to comply with the reasonable request of the BBC or EH; or which is in breach of these conditions; or otherwise where a ticketholder is behaving in an illegal, anti-social or aggressive manner, and may on occasion have to conduct security searches of persons and/or personal property to ensure the safety of the patrons. Anyone who refuses to be searched by a steward or other person acting on their behalf will be refused admission, or ejected from the venue and may be reported to the police.

17. The BBC reserves the right to cancel this event at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control. The BBC also reserves the right to alter or change the programme and line-up without prior notification.

18. Should the event be cancelled or line-up changed, the BBC and/or EH will not be liable for the payment of any compensation or for any loss of money and/or expenses incurred. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the full advertised bill performs, this ticket is for a showcase event and not a specific artist or band. In the event of cancellation of the entire event, only the face value of the ticket will be refunded via DICE, and the ticket booking fee will not be refunded.

19. If the event is postponed, the BBC will honour the ticket for the re-scheduled event. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ascertain the date and the time of any re-scheduled event.

20. BBC Radio 1Xtra will be filmed and recorded for use on BBC platforms. Ticket holders give their consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising or exploitation of any film, video, photography and/or audio and/or audio-visual recording of this event and/or any element thereof, in all media throughout the world. They also give their consent to being filmed by EH, the police or security staff for the purposes of helping ensure the security of customers and preventing crime.

21. Special effects of strobe lighting, lasers and smoke may be used at any time during the event at EH.

22. The BBC shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense, except in the case of death or personal injury if due to any negligent act or omission by the BBC.

24. Tickets purchased via the DICE website/app are subject to the DICE Purchasing Policy. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms of the DICE Purchasing Policy and the Event Terms and Conditions, these terms and conditions will prevail. No Wait List Fee is applicable for this event. The BBC is not responsible for the content of third party websites.
