  • Pembroke Castle has a rich medieval history and is the birthplace of Henry VII, the first Tudor king.
  • This will be an outdoor event and it will take place principally in the Outer Ward of the Castle.
  • Please note that there will be a road closure in operation on Westgate Hill from 7.30pm on Sunday, 4th September until 9.00am on Thursday, 8th September.
  • Please keep an eye on the weather forecast and wear suitable clothing and footwear for the day.
  • In the event of wet weather, some of the Roadshow specialists and their respective queues will be moved under the cover of a marquee which will be located in the main event area. However, space will be limited and it may be necessary to queue in the rain if it’s a wet day, but ponchos will be provided!
  • All visitors are welcome to bring their family treasures. The event will be open from 9.30am and as long as you are in the main queue to the Roadshow’s Reception Desk by 4.30pm, you will get to meet our team of specialists for the appraisal of your items.
  • Light refreshments including tea, cakes, sandwiches etc. can be purchased from the Antiques Roadshow Tea Tent. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic too.
  • Wheelchair users and those with limited mobility – there is a setting-down point at the entrance to the castle and public parking nearby with disabled spaces. There is access to the site at ground floor level.
  • Dogs on leads are welcome at the Castle.
  • Any firearms brought to the Roadshow must have a Firearms Certificate.
  • If you have an item with a particularly unusual story, or perhaps an interesting collection, why not let us know in advance. Please contact us via our Share Your Story page.

Park and Ride

  • On the day of recording, we advise visitors to Antiques Roadshow to use the special temporary Park & Ride service which will be operating from The Quins Rugby Club, London Road, Pembroke Dock (SA72 6DT) to and from the bus stop directly outside the Castle.
  • There will be AA signage directing visitors to the Park & Ride service and Pembroke Castle itself is well-signposted with brown tourist signage.

Parking

  • Parking areas in Pembroke are limited, however there are several public car parks in the town, some of which allow free parking, but some have a maximum stay of 4 hours – and in some cases, less. We recommend that if you do park in the town car parks, you pay and display a ticket for the whole day if possible or the maximum duration allowed.
  • The following website link shows the location of the town car parks - http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/Pembroke. Additional information, including a map, may also be found at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1GL5d67rESwmsS6CLkFOe6YlNlac&usp=sharing
