Astonishing letter from WW1
A time capsule put together in 1921 by a group of postal workers was opened on 4 August 2014 on the anniversary of the outbreak of World War I, as they had requested. It contained the most remarkable contents, including a poignant letter by a Telegraph Clerk called Annie K. Lamont.
There were gasps in the room as it was read. This is part of that letter. One thing that might be helpful to know first - Winston Churchill was Dundee's MP. A position he'd held since 1908. Contents to appear on the website: GreatWarDundee.com It’s read by the actor Anneika Rose
