BBC Introducing at Roundhouse Rising 2015

On Thursday 19th February we showcased four incredible new acts at the Roundhouse Studio in Camden, London. The special gig was part of #Rising2015, the Roundhouse's annual celebration of emerging music. Get to know the four future stars on our line-up and see how it all went down on the night...

Every act on the line-up came through the Uploader and managed to catch the attention of one of our local shows

Local boys The Tones opened up the show with an unrelenting onslaught of energy

...sharp looks and sharp tunes won the four piece new fans...

...ENERGY!

With a swift change of pace, we were then treated to a stunning set from Folly Rae

Folly's been championed by BBC Introducing in Beds, Herts and Bucks - this was her first gig in a while, she was backed by a guitarist and percussionist playing electronic pads...

Her mix of heartfelt vocals and intimate electronica won over plenty of new fans...

Our delightful host for the night Huw Stephens then welcomed London based three piece Wulf

The band, led by songwriter Joshua Bowyer, confidently glided through a set of well crafted songs

...each song was decorated with intricate sounds from guitarist Sean O'Neil, who spent a fair bit of time summoning noises from effects pedals

Welsh band Pretty Vicious closed the show with a blistering headline performance. The band are tipped by many to have a big year and with performances like this, they are proving to be worthy of the buzz

The boys' first radio play came from Adam Walton on BBC Radio Wales, after the South Wales band added 'Cave Song' to the Uploader. Since then, they've been on the Radio 1 playlist and recorded a session for Huw Stephens.

...the boys got a lot of love from the crowd, which included a strong cohort of followers from their hometown of Merthyr Tydfil...

So, Pretty Vicious: set to be huge? We reckon so. Here's some gig memorabilia that would be worth looking after:
