Donate to Greg James' Ultimate Christmas party
Radio 1 needs you

Greg James wants to throw the ultimate Christmas party for 100 young carers, but all we have is the venue.
To give it a festive feel we need your help in the form of decorations, Santa hats, disco lights, Christmas jumpers, perhaps even Santa himself (an inflatable one that is) and anything else you can think of.
If you have something you’d like to donate, please email festivefeeling@bbc.co.uk with:
- Name
- Location
- Date of birth
- Contact number
- Description and value of donated items
- Whether you are able to deliver item(s) to the venue in South Oxfordshire at one of the following times: between 3-6pm on Monday 17th, between 8am-8pm on Tuesday 18th or between 8am- 11am on Wednesday 19th December 2018.
The party will be live on-air on Thursday 20th December - giving these young carers a break they wouldn’t otherwise get.
There are an estimated 13,000 young carers in Oxfordshire alone, some as young as 5 years old, who are caring for a parent or sibling with an illness, physical disability, sensory impairment or mental health condition.
Radio 1 have teamed up with BE FREE YC for the party - the charity has been supporting young carers aged between 8 to 18 across Southern Oxfordshire for the last 20 years. Many young carers experience stress and anxiety as a result of their responsibilities, but BE FREE YC equips them with guidance, mentoring and enables them to enjoy a bit more child-time through meeting other carers.
We are hoping that with donations from the listeners and the generosity from companies from all over the UK, we can give these amazing young carers a memorable day they deserve.
