Get Creative Festival: An explosion of creativity across the nation
19 March 2018
The first weekend of the nine-day Get Creative Festival was bursting with creative endeavours. Free events up and down the country allowed people to try their hand at pottery, origami, painting, screen printing, poetry, playing instruments and more.

Get Creative Festival is a nine-day event encouraging arts organisations big and small to put on workshops and taster sessions aimed at inspiring and celebrating everyday creativity.
The festival launched on Saturday 17 March and we've gathered some of our favourite tweets and Instagram posts that show the nation getting creative across the opening weekend. Visit the interactive map to find an event near you and share your creations on social media using the hashtag #GetCreative.
