Presenters And Their Pets
Meet the furry friends of some of Radio 2's top stars
Sara Cox's Beano

One-and-a-half year old Beano is a Maltese Terrier and his favourite snack is a pigs ear. He is great to be around and he loves to curl up in your lap, except when he's decided to roll in stuff that smells like it’s from the 7th basement of hell.
Dermot O'Leary's Silver and Toto

These friendly felines are two years old and have been in charge of the O'Leary household for just under that. Dermot's wife found them in Italy. It's a long story, but their mum was called Plaxy and their father is unknown.
Vassos Alexander's Holly

Muddy Labrador Holly is known to be kind and gentle but also immensely stupid and exceedingly greedy. She has the world's waggiest tail and is never happier than hoovering up every type of food imaginable, the more the merrier! Her absolute favourite food is cold pepperoni pizza. She's also quite fit, as she insists on joining Vassos for all his ultra-marathon training. Oh, and she loves big sticks!
Vassos can be found on The Chris Evans Breakfast show, weekdays from 6.30.
Clare Teal's Alan

Alan is 19 months old and his favourite snack is home popped popcorn. His most annoying but very amusing habit is rooting through visitor’s suitcases and parading their underwear around the house before running off and hiding it.
Alan's owner is the queen of swinging big band sounds - listen here.
Jeremy Vine's Muffin and Poppadom

These wee critters are actually the furry friends of Jeremy's two young daughters. 4-month-old Muffin (or Muffy for short) belongs to Anna while one-and-a-half year old Poppadom is Martha's pride and joy. Muffin is rather partial to banana-flavoured hamster bicuits while Poppadom can't get enough blueberries. Both are known for their active, if adventurous, fitness regimes.
Muffy and Poppadom get their fill of the latest news each weekday at 12.
Bobbie Pryor's Tally

Tally is an eight-year-old Bedlington cross, though crossed with something unknown, possibly a meerkat. He is a former rescue dog who loves nothing more than what mummy is having to eat, even if he really doesn't like it. Fond of cheese, chasing cats and doing headstands on the sofa, Tally is the king of the house and loves nothing more than waking mummy up at 4am for a walk.
Ana Matronic's Izzy

This handsome chap's name is Isidro Plushpaw-Finnicus, but his friends call him Izzy. He enjoys hunting, snuggling and psychedelic light shows and, some say, his black moustache makes him look a bit like Groucho Marx.
Johnnie Walker's Darcey

This lovely lady is seven-year-old Darcey and she'll eat anything she can get her paws on, especially venison chews, chicken leftovers and the occasional raw egg. She's a jolly soul who is convinced her job is to spread love to every human she meets and as much as she loves to run and catch balls she's never quite mastered the bring it back and drop it bit.
Jo Whiley's Boosh and Brodie

Boosh is the family's beloved seven-year-old golden retriever. Despite his healthy appetite, he's looking relatively svelte of late after shedding 2-1/2 stones, though he was disappointed to learn that didn't win him "Slimmer of the Year" at the local vets. Brodie is the family's 18-month old Sproodle, that's part springer part poodle. He's supposedly highly intelligent, but no one is convinced. Unrelentingly bouncy, this black-haired hunk is named after Brodie from Homeland and seems to have inherited his knack for escaping no matter what.
Join Jo Whiley (and maybe Boosh and Brodie too) Mon - Thurs from 8pm.
