BBC Fresh Profile: Siji Osibo
Filmmaker Siji Osibo explains his filmmaking motivations.
Siji's films The Other Side and Tree Maker are both featured on BBC Fresh.

Why did you pick these subjects for Fresh?
For The Other Side, I picked this subject because this is the generation of the future. Tree Maker is to serve as an inspiration.
What motivated you to make these films?
I thought it would be interesting and only right that we took a minute out to see the perspective of the younger generation in The Other Side. So much is said and assumed about the youth in the UK.
Tree Maker is about knowing that we can be whatever we want to be in life, regardless of how impossible it may seem initially.
What cameras did you use to shoot your films?
The Other Side was shot on Panasonic GH2 and Canon 550D. For Tree Maker I used a Canon 5D in addition to the Panasonic camera.
Who/what inspires you?
I'm inspired by the endless capabilities of our imaginations. To be able to touch without touching and create something from nothing.
What is the most important thing you have learned so far?
I have learned that life is what you make it. We cannot always live life governed by rules and guidelines. Belief is key. To believe something can be achieved is the first step towards achieving it.
