BBC sweeps the board at British Academy Children's Awards


Children's BBC has won 13 awards at this year's BAFTA Children's Awards, including Channel of the Year for CBBC and Presenter for Justin Fletcher.

Richard Deverell, Controller of BBC Children's, said: "We are thrilled to have been awarded 13 BAFTAs at this year's awards. It is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved in CBBC and CBeebies, and the great collaboration we have with independent production companies.

"To be awarded Channel of the Year for CBBC is a great honour and is a credit to the immense hard work of Anne Gilchrist, Controller of CBBC, and her team."

The winners for the BBC were:

Pre School Animation – Charlie & Lola (CBeebies)

Presenter – Justin Fletcher for Something Special (CBeebies)

Factual – Serious Andes (CBBC)

Short Form – My Say (CBBC)

Pre-School Live Action – In The Night Garden (CBeebies)

Learning Secondary – L8R

Break-through Talent – Elliot-Otis Brown Walters for Summerhill

Special Award – The Chuckle Brothers

Writer – Alison Hulme for Summerhill (CBBC)

Animation – Charlie & Lola Autumn Special

Entertainment – Hedz (CBBC)

Drama – The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury

Channel of the Year – CBBC.
