A History Of Scotland, presented by Neil Oliver, is continuing to grab more viewers. Having notched up 604,000 viewers last week in a slot which normally averages around 430,000, A History Of Scotland's second episode on Sunday 16 November at 9.00pm on BBC One Scotland, was watched by more than 624,000 – despite stiff competition. And a further 240,000 viewers watched the repeat of the first episode, screened earlier that evening at 6.00pm on BBC Two Scotland. Maggie Cunningham, Joint Head of Programmes, BBC Scotland, said: "More than 840,000 viewers have tuned in to watch the two terrestrial screenings of the first episode of A History Of Scotland, and according to the provisional overnight figures the second episode has attracted even more viewers in a very competitive slot." The programme, which is shot in HD, is part of a major project, Scotland's History, spanning television, radio, events and a new website bbc.co.uk/scotlandshistory.
