The cream of British acting talent, Bob Hoskins, Rhys Ifans and Sheila Hancock, star in The Last Word, a trio of cracking contemplative comedy dramas written, produced and directed by Hugo Blick for BBC One An assassin – Bob Hoskins – waits in a public lavatory for his next target. A dying woman – Sheila Hancock – waits to receive drugs to take her own life. A farmer – Rhys Ifans – tries to find a way to free himself from the yoke of a dominating mother. Blick has a long association with the BBC and his writing credits include the critically-acclaimed Sensitive Skin for BBC Two and the hit series Marion And Geoff co-written with Rob Brydon. The Last Word is a Baby Cow production for BBC One, written, produced and directed by Hugo Blick. Executive producers are Henry Normal and Lindsay Hughes for Baby Cow and Simon Wilson for the BBC.
