More listeners tuning into BBC Hereford & Worcester


There has been a large increase in the number of listeners tuning to BBC Hereford & Worcester each week, according to the latest official figures released today by RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research Ltd).

The figures show that BBC Hereford & Worcester has added another 3,000 listeners to the extra 12,000 gained last quarter.

There has also been a big increase in the share of radio listening from 12.9% to 15.4%, while the number of hours each listener tunes in has risen from 9.61 to 10.55.

James Coghill, Editor, BBC Hereford & Worcester, says: "We have now attracted an extra 15,000 listeners in the last six months – we'd like to thank all our listeners for making us the most popular radio station in the area."
